Our Mission

The Online Journal of the Military Experience, from Dress Blues Press, is dedicated to the brave men and women who have served our country in times of war and peace. We honor their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their families. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an average of 22 veterans daily take their own life while waiting for proper medical attention. Many struggle with mental health ailments such as PTSD, bipolar disorder, chronic depression, and anxiety. Many never have an opportunity to express themselves or share their stories. Dress Blues Press looks to provide veterans and their families with a platform in which they can share their struggles and successes. If we can prevent one warrior from taking their own life by providing this platform for self-expression, our mission will be a great success.
